AIP Airfried Halibut & Yucca Fries

Craving Fish N Chips well this will help your curb that craving.


I made this meal with fresh Alaskan Halibut. The recipe is so simple and so fast! Whether you are AIP, Paleo or just love to eat a healthy meal you will enjoy this mouth watering meal.



Ingredients:

Halibut cut in to 1 to 2 inch cubes - in this case I made 15 cubes about 1.5 pounds of fish

Coating:

1 1/2 cups Pork Rind Panko crumbs - I use Bacon's Heir's Panko Crumbs

5 tablespoons arrowroot starch

1 tsp garlic powder or fish grated garlic

dash of Himalayan Salt

dash of cilantro



Batter:

2 tablespoons mustard or of AIP I use KC Natural Imitation mustard

1 egg if AIP use gelatin egg


I keep the recipe simple but add seasoning to your liking - I suggest adding to the batter.



Coat your fish in the batter and roll in the coating mix

Place spaced in air fryer for 10 - 15 minutes thinner pieces may cook faster

Note: you could fry in coconut oil when fish floats it is done



Yucca Fries

Cut yucca into wedges - rinse and pat dry

Fry either in air fryer or fry in coconut oil until golden brown






Tartar Sauce & Gigi's Yucca Fries Sauce

If you are able to use avocado mayo I add Saucy Lips Zesty Cilantro Sauce it makes a great tartar sauce - I do add a touch of fresh lemon for zing!

Gig's Yucca Fries Sauce is made with The Beet Lady Ketchup

5 tablespoons beet ketchup

2 tablespoons either raspberry or cranberry vinegar
